read these boards and you will get alot of different opinions. my advice is to find someone who seems like they have a similar personality to you and see what they say.
I am almost off the Zuiderdam and have loved it :)

Go and have a great time. The Zuiderdam is a nice big ship but if it is full you will have 1800. Other ships that size carry 2800 to 3000. Enjoy

Looks like the May 7 cruise on the Zui is going to have about 700 real estate folks ...

We are going on the Zui May 14 -- our second time on that ship.
Looks like a nice group of CCers will be aboard.
I say book it.

You deserve it after the winter you've had!

Do It ! My wife and I were on the Z twice in 2004; Western Caribbean in May and Eastern Caribbean in November. Had a great time both times. Made some friends among the staff who still keep in touch to this day. Unless there was a tremendous turn over with the staff, I can't imagine you wouldn't have a wonderful time. We love that ship !! :D

We were married on the Zuiderdam in Sept 2003, just booked back to back cruises on her again for this Sept to celebrate our second anniversary.. inbetween we sailed with Costa and Celebrity.. and look who we booked again with.. It is a beautiful ship, and they did not have the "older" crowd people told us they would have, just a good mix.

fyi.. we are in our early 50's

THANKS TO EVERYONE who answered. The more I read...the more I am seeing that the ZUIDERDAM has come out of its teething problems and is now offering a nice cruise experience.

Your comments are most appreciated.

You should expect slower service in your cabin and dining room...but it didn't really spoiled our experience on her. Food was very close to X (little bit better in buffets and very close in dining room) and ship was very interesting.
