Thinking about getting a day pass to the Marriott. Also need to fit in some snorkling at this port stop if possible to keep my girls happy. Can you snorkle from the beach? How is it? Thanks for any advice!:)

My husband and I stayed at the Marriott in St. Kitts a couple of years ago and had a wonderful time snorkeling. There's a rock formation as a breakfront that had the most outstanding fish. It was like swimming through an aquarium!

When you say "breakfront" do you mean some manmade thing to protect the beach, like the sand whales I see in photos of the beaches at Riviera Maya? I find those things so unattractive. Thanks.

the marriot is located on the Atlantic side of the island. The breakfront is likely there to calm their beach waters from the crashing waves that can happen at different times of the year. This would make it safer for swimmers, especially the little ones.
