Looking for other travelers to share private tours.

Hi, my significant other and I will also be on this cruise. What types of private tours are you thinking of? Generally on cruises we do not take the ships excursions, but will get off the ship and find a "driver", generally a local cab driver that will take us around for a good price. Sometimes we have them take us on a general tour of the area and other times we have more specifc interests. For instance, in some of the places that have great beaches etc, we will ask them to take us to one of the less populated beaches with good snorkeling, drop us off and come pick us up after a couple hours. Is this the same kind of thing you were talking about, or a more organized tour that you want to book ahead of time?

We are looking for an organized tour and noticed the price drops greatly if there are more than two people. If you would be interested in sharing one of these tours please contact us at the Y under the same user name.

We were just looking at the Shore Trips web site and noticed the big difference in price for the tours if more than 2 - the price drops from $500 pp to $300 pp.. The one in particular that we were interested in was in Sorrento - the POMPEII AND THE AMALFI COAST EXPERIENCE. We have been told that Pompeii was very nice. You may have more info to shed if you have visited the area before. We can give you more details on yahoo. Thanks

I have spent a fair amount of time in that part of the world and suggest that you choose either Pompeii or the Amalfi Coast unless you want a very long shore excursion. Whichever you choose, you will not be disappointed.

Thank you Emtbsam for your information. This is our first time on Silversea and the first time to Italy. Any suggestions for the other ports of call on our cruise would be greatly appreciated. In particular the ports in Croatia. Thank you again.
