I am trying to plan everything for our upcoming cruise as far in advance as possible. We will be traveling with our 1 year old son and I want to get times reserved in Flounder's Reef for our shore excursions. Is there a way to book a time slot in advance for a shore excursion on Castaway Cay?

I'm not sure I understand your question...are you asking if you can sign up for FLOUNDER'S REEF in advance of boarding the ship? If so, the answer is no to that.
If you're asking if you can reserve shore excursions in advance, yes, you can do that around 60 days in advance of your sailing.

I wanted to know if you could sign up for shore excursions in advance. How do you sign up for them? Call Disney?
As for Flounder's Reef, I thought that once you boarded the ship you could go to Flounder's Reef to reserve times you wanted sitting for the entire cruise. Am I wrong?

You are correct about getting onboard and finding the area for Flounder's Reef and reserving times.
As far as reserving shore excursions go to the website (disneycruise.com) and there is a telephone number. You can check and it will tell you exactly how far in advance you can book and what to do. Some excursions (or particular time slots) book more quickly than others so you are smart for wanting to call ahead of time.

You can always sign up for shore excursions on the ship but the ost popular ones will fill up fast. If you don't want to be disappointed you are better off signing up at home before you leave. You have to give them 24 hours notice to cancel when you are onthe ship and then you won't be charged.

Flounders Reef is on Deck 5 just before the Buena Vista Theatre. Go there and get in line as soon as you board the ship so that you can get your first choice of times.

Thank you so much! We plan to be in line as soon as we are on the ship. I have my times all written out for the entire cruise! I hope we get all the times we need. :)
