From the Signature of Excellence Update Schedule (http://www.hollandamerica.com/pdfs/SOE_update.pdf), it appears that all SOE enhancements will be complete on ROTTERDAM in "Spring 2005", which implies that she will be drydocked in the next few months.

It appears to me that there are no cruises scheduled between the end of her last Caribbean cruise (16 March departure) on Wednesday 23 March and the beginning of her spring transatlantic (11 April departure) on Monday 11 April. This would seem a logical period for her to be drydocked in.

As I recall, there is some member out there who has a drydock schedule for all of the ships - can anyone confirm that this is when she will indeed be drydocked?

Because of problems with the itinerary (http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=141449) of the CENTURY Baltic cruise we are booked on, we are considering rebooking to ROTTERDAM instead, and it would be nice to be on a freshly-drydocked ship. It would also be interesting to try a ship with all her SOE enhancements complete.

Doug-

Even without her SOE enhancements, she is absolutely stunning IMHO!:) The fact she is a flag ship for the fleet is quite evident and we enjoyed her a great deal in December! I think you will find her to be a lovely ship!

We will be sailing the Zaandam with her new SOE enhancements in a few weeks and I will have a full report after our cruise. Our teens will be "christening" the teen center along with JaniceB's teens!:D

mid April, so it will have to be before that. She comes back across in November directly to South America and winters (summers) there...

And I agree, the Rotterdam is a truly beautiful ship even before SOE. We spent the last 3 summers aboard and really love her.

We are with a SMALL group (about 8 people so don't panic guys) who are looking at the Volendam for October 16 -- will this be before or after SOE for the Volendam?

Thanks in advance.

Your October cruise would be before drydock which is Dec. 5-19, 2005, just in time for our Christmas cruise. :)

Thanks. This is what I expected, as it fights right in with the SOE schedule and with her schedule of cruises.

She looks like a lovely ship, and it is always nice to be on a ship that has been recently drydocked. Will also be interesting to try out the SOE enhancements though none of them look earth-shattering to me (don't use youth facilities, don't use spa, don't watch much in-cabin TV, etc.).
