Noordam - Washing machines

We are taking a 17 day cruise in July on the Noordam (can't wait, btw!). My wife is wondering if there are washing machines for the guests to use on board. Thanks!

Sorry, but there are no laundry facilities available for use on any Vista class ship. There are laundry packages available, check with HAL in Seattle for current prices.

No self-launderette on the Noordam ... nor any other Vista or Signature class ship. For a fee, you can send it out ... HAL offers an everything-you-can-cram-in-a-bag for a set price. I think you also can pay per piece or buy a package for unlimited laundry.

For a 17 day cruise the unlimited laundry would be an excellent option. We used it on our cruise in the Mediterranean last May. Everything comes back pressed, folded in a basket or on hangers. The laundry service is great because you don't have to try and pack for 3 weeks!

Be warned that the ships' machines wash on hot and dry on hot. Do not send anything delicate or beaded.

There is laundry by the bag -- as much as you can stuff into a bag -- $20.

Then there is the unlimited laundry -- call Ship Services at 1-800-541-1576 to get a price for your cruise.

Yes -- everything is washed in hot water and dried on hot heat. Remember -- they have large industrial machines as there is much laundry to be done every day.
