Fun little story about the Veendam in today's travel section...

Flipped open the paper today and lo and behold...the travel section has a story about a charter trip (Blues Cruise) aboard the Veendam.

Since charters seem to be a hot topic right now...thought you may find this article amusing...

Thank you! Just this morning, my husband asked me if we could book the one for next year. I believe it's on the Westerdam. I've been researching it online.

What did they mean in the article about "trouble at the port in Santo Tomas de Castilla, Guatemala? We are supposed to be there on our Veendam cruise Easter Week.

Don't know how that got in last Sundays paper because it sounds like the 2004 cruise.
The 2005 LRBC was aboard the Zui 1/22/05-1/29/05 out of FLL to Grand Turk, Tortola and St.Maarten.
The 2006 is scheduled for 1/8/06-1/16/06 on the Westerdam out of FLL to Key West, Grand Caymam, and
Cozumel.

Hmmm - I'm pretty sure the blues cruise website listed this Veendam cruise as the one for 2005. Oh well. Did you go? If so, did you like it? My husband wants to go on the next one.

PG The 2005 LRBC was to be on the Zaandam (however got changed to the Zui) due to her dry dock schedule for Jan. of '05. Getting this info from a letter sent by LRBC with a post mark of 07/03/04.

Yes we went and loved it; pre booked for 2006. I would advise you both to go to www.bluescruise.com to check out the forums and photos in the message board. After doing that bit of homework you will know if you would enjoy this cruise.

Also check out last years prices to give you an idea of what to expect.
