Seems like a simple question... We're sailing on the NA's Med Empires out of Venice. Includes Athens, Istanbul, Split, Mykonos, Santorini and Kotor. Most videos I've seen of ships coming into port seem to have the best view on the Port side. We're booked starboard, what would you recommend?

Avoid an inside cabin.;)

You don't have to be in your cabin to view the sail-in or sail-out.

You're correct, the view from an inside cabin is terrible!
We like to view the sail-in & out from our Verandah. From what we've seen online, the port side looks more appealing for viewing...

The side won't matter that much. If it was best on one side sailing in, it will reverse sailing out.

I vote being topside where you can move around. I would not want to be limited to one side for Piraeus(Athens), Istanbul, Santorini. The best views into Venice would be Starboard...if you want to be up at dawn. Sailing out of Venice they would be port. EM
