Have friend who is looking at 2584 or 2585 on the R-class ships. Both are directly under the self-serve laundry room. I have read that cabins besides these laundry rooms are not a problem noise-wise. What about being below?

Thanks for any advice for my friend.

I have never had the experience/occasion of having been in a stateroom located beneath the self-serve "launderettes" on the HAL R-Class ships, but as a general rule, I would not book any stateroom on any ship that is located beneath any room/area where there may possibly be an issue related to vibration or noise; such as a launderette, galley, dance floor, etc.! :D

I think it would depend on the hours of operation. I can't remember the hours but thought they were quite restrictive when I saw them on other ships. I guess now I know why.

I don't know - probably one of my last choices for a cabin;)

Haven't been, can't help, but the laundry shuts down early at night.

Just the same, can't help but wonder hearing noise underneath especially with the room comments about being under the galley:confused:

I have used cruisedeckplans.com on occasion - it might be helpful if no one else has been there. There is a small fee to belong but it can be for life and has saved me on a couple of occasions (mostly before I knew about cruise critic though).;)

Thanks for the replies. About what I thought, but you never know until someone has been there and done that. I will pass on these comments.
