Pinnacle Grill Reservations

I will be cruising on the Noordam in July...Do I need to make reservations now for the Pinnacle grill or just wait until I get on board.I am staying in a Deluxe Verandah so should I just make it through the conciere or do it now.Also if you make reservations now ,do they already charge you or only have the meal. I want reservations for 4 but our friends might not want to go.I dont want to be stuck paying for them if they cancel thats why I am asking if they charge after the meal and or when you make the reservation...Thanks for your advice.

HAL will charge you when you make the reservation.

Last year we were on the Noordam in the Med. and we made our Pinnacle reservation the day we boarded.We had no problem making them.Enjoy your cruise.The Noordam is my favorite cruise and the Med. is my favorite destination.:D

I was on the Noordam in May and I would also recommend making reservations for the Canaletto. My son and I enjoyed our dinner there on that particular cruise and again in June on the Veendam. While on the Veendam our son and his friends went to a culinary demonstration and it was indicated that the Canaletto will become a surcharge restaurant in the future. Currently you only need to make reservations but it is good to make them early in the cruise. We had talked to several other cruisers on the Noordam and they enjoyed Canaletto as well although previously I had read mixed reviews. Being there is currently no surcharge this may work for your friends too since they may/may not go.
