We are considering the 8 night westerdam the week after Christmas. We have always sailed Rccl and Princess, but the dates are just right for this one. Our kids will be 12 and 14....do you think they will be board on this ship? Is there a vidio arcaide or some type of early teen activities during holiday season? Thanks for you help.

There will be a lot of kids. There are 2 video arcades and a full kids/teens program. The programs separate at age 13, and they will not let the younger one into the older group, but they will allow the older one to move down if they want to. Your kids will have a blast on New Year's Eve!

Thanks Stefhef for the quick reply. Anyone else with simular experience? We are thinking of booking inside (larger cat I) cabins due to high cost during that holiday sailing. Anyone know how much larger these are..look quite a bit larger on the ship layout.

They definitely get more kids over the holidays. I just posted in another thread regarding teens.
They do have a video arcade. If your kids like to participate in the organized activities, I don't think they would be bored. A lot of kids like to do their own thing at that age, so it's hard to say if they would be bored or not. My kids loved the fresh water pools on this ship.
My teen girls had fun because they met other kids, but it was not my 12 year old's favorite kids club.
They are re-vamping the kids club in April, to include 3 year olds, so maybe activities will be different when you cruise.
