We are booked onto the Singapore - Hong Kong segment of the cruise on Zaandam in January.
We stay overnight just out of Bangkok and instead of staying the night in Bangkok, we would like to return to the ship.
However this will most likely be very late - around midnight or after.
Can anyone please tell me if we are still able to get back on board at that time - or is there a crufew?
We are novice cruisers so I appreciate any replies.
Kaye :)

No Curfew -- there will be someone on duty at the gangway all night to check in and check out passengers.

Welcome to the Holland America board. As KK has said there is no curfew. You can come and go from the ship as much as you like:) One of the reasons overnight stays are so popular:D

Just check with the port people about which entrances will be opened late for cruise passengers. We had a hard time getting back to the ship when we overnighted in Malta. There was a gate only supposed to be for cars, but the pedestrian gate was locked by the time we got back from dinner. There were about 6 crew members also in the same predicament! Eventually the port guards opened the car gate for us. Not HAL's fault - this was not under their control.

The Westerdam is stopping for an overnight in Bora Bora and Tahiti.
What times do the tenders stop for bringing guests back to the
ship in the evening ?? We want to see some of the local nightlife
in Bora Bora and the ship docks in Tahiti at 9 pm -- leaving at
3 pm the next afternoon. Thanks.

The only time we have had a curfew on a gangway announced was last
September when Maasdam hurried back to Boston and cancelled three ports at the end of our Canada/New England cruise. The ship was tying up to ride out a hurricane and the gangway would be pulled at a certain time. All who intended to be aboard had to be there by that time or they would stay ashore. It was clearly and effectively announced this would be happening.
We have to be aware to listen to all those sorts of announcements.

You can stay off all night if you wish but you should let the front desk know. When we did it, we wrote Seattle beforehand and got "permission" because we actually left the City we were docked at. (Buenos Aires; flew to Iguazu overnight on our own and returned day 2)

Thank you.--- Yes. I know we can stary out all night if we wish -- I was
asking about the tender schedules back to the ship as I don't plan
on sleeping on the beach in Bora Bora.

At an overnight in Stockholm Sweden on the Rotterdam, we were tendered and after midnight the tenders ran less frequently, but the wee small hours are when the crew gets to go ashore so they ran all night long. I think we had to wait about 20 minutes after just missing one then.
