Steve, I just watched the slideshow of your pics. They are beautiful! I sent you a personal thank you note, but wanted to express my gratitude here on CC. Every time I have asked a question on CC, whether on the HAL pages, Alaska pages, Roll Calls, or West Coast Departures, I have been showered with both information and kindness from all. Maybe I've been lucky, so far no flames from anyone. This site really is an advantage for anyone investigating cruising as a vacation option. I have found myself recommending this site to everyone I have spoken to about our upcoming cruise. And trust me, I haven't been able to shut up about the cruise, LOL. So to all of you, expecially Ruth C, sfels and all the Vancouver residents (Putterdude, that includes you!)who've helped me plan my dream vacation THANK YOU!!!

I have had a couple of great cruises on the Volendam, and many great cruises to Alaska. I want everyone else to have the same.

One of the main reasons I mentioned you in particular,aside from our joint addiction to chocolate:), is the advice you gave all Alaskan cruisers about checking ports and times there, the research you recommended was very helpful, and you and the rest of the CC family gave this 'first time cruiser' the courage to plan and schedule our own, independant tours. Which not only saved us $$, but let us have a time schedule in each port that we were comfortable with. Vancouver and then Alaska, I can hardly wait! Happy Sailing to all!
