Can someone tell me what the discount is for a passenger that is a Mariner Member. I'm sure it is different for different levels but what percentage can one expect? Thanks.

We haven't gotten anything since the new program began.
The only discount we have gotten is when we book a Collector's Cruise and then it is only a couple of hundred dollars -- for a Deluxe Suite.

OK.....this actually is a tougher question than you might think. There isn't always a Mariner discount. Some cruises have a discount some don't. On top of that I'm not sure there is a standard amount. Seems to me a few years ago they gave Mariners a whopping $50 off on the majority of cruises but not now. There are "special" offers from time to time and I think, and others may know way better than I do, there have been discounts up to $300 or so. Quite frankly I've done so much better with my Internet TA that I've paid little to no attention to the not so great Mariner discount if and when it exists.

Thanks. As Randy said, $50 pp is typical when anything at all is offered. Try a dummy booking without entering your Mariner number, then with it, to see if there's any difference for the cruise you're considering.

OK here is the deal the Mariner discount is much like the Upgrade Fairy. There is truly no rhyme or reason or trying to figure out how someone gets it other than it is Regional and has absolutely nothing to do with how many days or what star Mariner status you are. It is simply regional where you live. I will say that everytime I find one for a client I check my own and not one time in two years have I found a single sailing that my Mariner number qualfies for. Yet I have seen a person with only two HAL cruises living in Southern Caliornia and they get one heck of an offer. I check it and living in Nevada nothing. I do find those living on the East Coast get them the most frequently ;)

Yep, from time-to-time when we book there is a $50 pp deduction. I never ask "Why?" I just say "Thank You" :)

Thank you all. I guess I really haven't been missing out on much. Maybe I should move to Southern California (Not!)

I got $100 pp once but I think anyone that asked would have gotten it. Our personal consultant told us that they really do give mariner's the edge when they do upgrades. I dont' know if that is really the truth or not, but on the HAL site, it doesn't make any difference if you put in mariner # or not, the price doesn't change

... but on the HAL site, it doesn't make any difference if you put in mariner # or not, the price doesn't changeSometimes it does, depending on the itinerary. Seldom if ever in the Caribbean in my experience.
We even saw a case once when pricing out a cruise where we saw three different prices, depending on whether we put in no Mariner number, or those of my DBiL/DSiL in CT, or our own in FL. Eventually the price for us dropped to equal that of our relatives, which was below the "no Mariner number" price by $100 pp.

That has also been my recent experience.
