What does HAL call the newsletters that they leave you in the stateroom each night. These are the papers that tell you what is going on each day on the ship. I am torn between two cruises for Dec 2011. I would like to know if HAL has any night time dance parties on the lido deck. Interested in a sailaway party and maybe one other type of fun thing to do at night. We are taking our kids 14 and 10. Torn between HAL Eurodam and NCL Pearl. HELP.

While I am at it, does anyone have any of these newsletters?

I presume you mean the 'Daily Program'.
I don't recall any dance parties on the Lido for the cruises we've done, although there have been ones in the Crows Nest. Haven't been on the Eurodam so don't know if their Lido is different, i.e. more suited to that activity.
There is always a sailaway party when the cruise starts- they have been on the aft deck on the cruises we've done. Sometimes there are BBQs etc. Of course, there is showtime in the large lounge every night.
Don't have kids so don't know about their nighttime activity choices. There are clubs for kids on board, however.

As mentioned, just about every cruise line has sailaway parties. HAL's doesn't include a dance party. I also haven't seen them on Princess or RCCL.
Nobody will have daily schedules for the Caribbean, as HAL (or NCL for that matter) doesn't have any ships in the Caribbean right now.

It is now called the Explorer Daily Program -- the name was changed in November 2010.
For a couple of years HAL tried having a Lido party at 9 PM -- there were desserts for eating and music, dancing and a few games.
But I noticed we did not have any on our Ryndam and Nieuw Amsterdam Caribbean cruises.
