Never thought to ask this before, but it could make a difference in regards to the quantity of luggage brought onboard....

Thank goodness. Coke is helping to pay for this cruise for us (well at least my partners half of the fare).

Oh, just so nobody gets the wrong idea, Coke is not paying for the cruise, my parnter works for Coke, therefore his salary is from Coke money. Whoops, I guess that doesn't sound too good either, need to keep the DEA away.
I don't want the poor people in customer service to be overwhelmed by cruisers looking for free fares. :)

It never ceases to amaze me how you can go to a bar and have a choice of many rums for a rum and coke, but not have a choice of mixer brand (Coke or Pepsi in this case!).
Just call me a disgruntled Pepsi fan.

Because the restaurant, bar, hotel, fast food chain, cruiseline signs contracts with one or the other soft drink bottler to get a price break. The war between Coke and Pepsi is one of the most famous and cutthroat in marketing. Exclusivity would never work with alcohol or wine branding where choice covers a multitude of brands, not just 2 major competitors.
If Pepsi offered HAL (or Carnival) a better deal than Coke does, you can be sure the cruiseline would be hapy to switch. :D

Thanks, everyone! Glad to hear I will not have to lug a case of Diet Coke onboard just to get thru the week. :D

To all you Coke drinkers: Does anyone know if CAFFEINE FREE Diet Coke is available on Oosterdam? Thank you.

Wow, they supply coke to the passengers on HAL? Is that because they are in international waters and not subject to US jurisdiction?

Guess I'll just have to lug my case of Pepsi aboard!:p
Coke isn't a bad beverage, it's just not quite as good as Pepsi - but Diet Coke - yuk!
Question - if I bring my Pepsi to the bar so I can add it to the rum myself, will they charge me a corkage fee?
