Does the Westerdam have a dedicated movie theater with the comfortable seating like the Oosterdam?

Yes; same location on both ships. Know that the theater is used as the culinary arts center at times.

the movie theater on the oosterdam is a dedicated theater called the screening room that only shows movies. Is it the same on the Westerdam?

The Westerdam does NOT have a dedicated Screening room.
When we were on the ship -- a few movies were shown in the Queen's Lounge -- also known as the Culinary Arts Center.
But the majority of the movies were shown in either the Hudson Room or Half Moon Room.
And we sailed on her 26 days one cruise and 21 days on another cruise.

When we sailed in March, movies were shown in the Queen's Lounge -- very comfortable!

The HAL brochure I have says the "Screening Room" is only on the Zuiderdam and Oosterdam. So, what is that space used for on the Westerdam?
Thanks

Does the Ryndam use the same rooms, Hudson Room or Half Moon Room, as theatre for some of the time? I really liked the venue onboard the Eurodam while I was aboard and was just curious about an upcoming Ryndam cruise.

It is part of the Merabella Luxury Shop on Westerdam. Eurodam has a Screening Room as well.
The Queen's Lounge is nice for movies with banquettes, however the Screening Room has individual very comfy chairs.

The Ryndam is an entirely different ship from the Vista/Signature classes. The arrangement of the public rooms is not at all the same.
On the Ryndam, movies are shown in the Wajang Theatre, which is also known as the Culinary Arts Center. It's more of a proper theatre than the Queens Lounge on the Vista/Signature ships. It has comfortable, theatre seating, on a sloped floor.

Thanks for the info about the Westerdam. Sorry to hear this is Merabella!

Supposedly Mirabella makes good money from expensive jewelery sales. Making money is important!! When we were on the Ryndam in Dec. the Wajang theater had an interesting leak from water pipes in the ceiling. Everyone just sat around it and listened to the dripping. Certainly this has been repaired. Right HAL??? The rest of the ship was just beautiful.
