Okay, okay... don't jump down my throat on this one (although I am wearing my flame-retardant underwear just in case). :D

We have noticed that in the past, sometimes we are charged the corkage fee and sometimes we are not (on Princess, RCL). There never seems to be any rhyme or reason to why we are or aren't (although on Princess we hardly ever are charged). I'm willing to pay it, prepared to pay it, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed consistency or lack thereof on HAL.

Okay... let me have it :o

Try slipping a $20 bill to the wine steward and maybe he won't charge you the $15 plus 15 percent corkage fee.

I don't know why, but we were on the Zuiderdam 2/12-19. We had two bottles of wine delivered to the room as part of our package. We took one to the dining room and one to the Pinnacle Grill. Maybe they know they were bottles we received on board, though there were no markings on the bottles. Anyway they did not charge us any corkage. Also we had brought a nice bottle of champagne from home. We had it picked up and sent to the dining room so it would be chilled and ready for the last formal night. Again, no corkage fee. Can't say why. Marilyn

PS, we did order a couple of bottles from the wine list during the course of the week. Maybe that did it!
