Anyone taken this cruise ? Need info on ship accomondations, service, excursions, food & any other beneficial info to aid in our booking!!!

Although I haven't done Australia, I did cruise to Vanuatu and New Caledonia on the Odyssey. It is a gorgeous ship and I really cannot complain about anything. You will have a fantastic voyage.

We are doing the New Caledonia to Melbourne on November 3rd. Cannot wait. Love those small ships........have not been on this line before, but it comes highly recommended.

I am having a real problem understanding what is so special about the Clipper Odyssey. We spent two weeks on this ship in Australia, and I have never been so disappointed. There is all this hype about this ship, and it might have been beautiful at some point, but looks really bad currently.
The cabins are in very ugly condition, bedspreads that are dirty, and should have been thrown out years ago, not to mention the heating system is not working properly........one minute it is too hot, and the next too cold. They did admit they had a problem. The cabins have no soundproofing, as we could hear the man next to us talking, playing his music, etc. This has never happened before.
The food was hardly "cooked to order", and the service was very poor.
I would not recommend this ship, nor the staff, or ever travel with them again. I will be writing a long review and posting it. I will be happy to provide a link to it.
It really is bad to pay that kind of money, and have the best part of your trip...........is when you get off.
