I posted this question in the port of call board over a week ago and received no responses

I just noticed the we are in Coco Cay on the Enchantment next April 4th the same day as the Majesty. Has anyone experienced Coco Cay with 2 ships?

I have not been to Coco Cay in 6 years - I know you still tender. Have there been any upgrades? I remember it felt "perfect" off the Sovereign (same class as Majesty) so I am worried about capacity, services, etc. with two ships.

I know the Enchantment will probably be sold out (it is Spring Break for most of the Baltimore and Washington DC metro area public school systems) and I assume the Majesty will also be at/near capacity since it is the week before Easter.

Thanks,
Barbara

As you know it is a large island. However it appeared to me in January to have a lot of new instrastucture. And there is a recent thread with photos of new improvements to beach areas. You know it will be crowded with two ships. But with proper staffing because it so large and so many activaties it can handle the crowds. We loved the island and for what it had to offer. The tender boats were large capacities and were efficient in my mind. Lunch was very good efficiently handled. Remember attitude is difference between ordeal and an adventure! Enjoy your cruise!!!!!

We were there last Feb on the Majesty. They have enough chairs and facilities to handle the Oasis or Allure. With the Majesty they only needed to open half or less the food buildings for the lunch buffet.

I would imagine that they would have one section open for Majesty and the other open for Enchantment. Even with the two ships added together it would be less than they are feeding when the Oasis and Allure are there.BIG ships were in port.

Just make sure you get on the right tender boat on the way back.:D

We were there in January with the Enchantment. Honestly, we didn't like it at all and went back early. We were tendered to a farther spot. The lunch line was much longer than it used to be. I think next time if we're with another ship I'll stay on the ship. It's too small for that.

Do the Oasis/Allure ships even go to Coco Cay? I thought they just did Nassau.

I believe that the Bud party cruise last year went to Cocoa Cay with the Freedom and Liberty at the same time.

Search for info from some of those threads and you might get more info.

No, Oasis and Allure do not do tender ports. They do go to Labadee, which has a pier, but not Coco Cay.

I was there off the Majesty last December when the Monarch was there as well. I was obviously more crowded, but as usual, the further down the beach one walked the less people there were. All the food stalls were in use at lunch time and after passing several with long lines I was able to find others with shorter lines and I also found several empty tables in some of the grassy areas. It was just a matter of looking a little harder to find the less crowded areas.

As to the tenders, they had set up two totally separate lines that were distinctively marked for which ship each was for. One was the normal one that is used when one ship is there and the other went over to the far end of the inlet where the tenders dock.

All in all, even though there were twice the people it was still a beautiful and enjoyable day.
