We are booked on the Horizon leaving Tampa on December 30th.I.e. over New Year. The Celebrity brochure highlights this as a festive cruise. What exactly does this mean please ?

hihttp://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Probably holiday decorations since you are sailing New Year's Eve. I would guess all the Christmas things would still be up!
Bet they will have a fun party to ring in 2005 http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Next up...HORIZON Sept 18th to Bermuda!

I sure hope you mean you're departing Tampa on December 31 since she will be in Key Largo on December 30, and I won't be disembarking her until December 31. http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
I believe a festive cruise means that she'll be decorated for the holidays and have special food and activities planned. I'm sure since you'll be departing on New Year's Eve that there will be parties planned with champagne flowing at midnight! http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Good Evening Hilary,
Touche !!! It must be the hot weather here today that has scrambled my brains. Of course we don't embark until the 31st. but coming from the UK, we fly out on the 30th. and have an overnight in a local hotel (somewhere) so for us our vacation starts when we get on the plane. I hope that you enjoy your Christmas trip. What sort of cabin have you booked? Have you been on the Horizon before ?
