Room Stewards

I haven't been on Holland in a several years and wonder if there are two room stewards or one? I remember on Celebrity that they have a room steward and an assitant. The reason that I ask, I like to leave them a small token for their efforts above the tip. I want to be prepared with the right amount for that purpose. Thanks!

Yes, there two stewards assigned to each stateroom: one main Steward and an assistant.

There are two now, but they cover twice as many rooms as they used to handle alone, so don't think that their job is half as much as it was.

Yes -- there are 2 cabin stewards. Sometimes they work together to get a room done -- sometimes only one will do up the room -- but we do leave extra tips at the end of the cruise for both of them.

I can remember when we had only 1 cabin steward who had about 10 cabins. Now we have 2 cabin stewards -- and I asked them -- they now have anywhere from 30 - 34 cabins to service.

Two, usually one is a veteran, the other younger and still learning the art of being a cabin steward.
