Can any of u 'suite' people tell me if u get to order from a 'full' dinner, breakfast & lunch dining room menu if u wish to eat in your cabin plus a 'full' breakfast - room service - on the disembarkation day? Do u get preferential embarkation and disembarkation? Many thanks for the info..everyone & happy cruisin'!

YES on the dinner, lunches, breakfast, We had breakfast in our room almost everyday including the last morning, lunch a few time, and dinner once. Embarkation/Disembarkation was OKay boarding the first day, getting into a different line and heading onto the ship within 5-7 minutes. HMC you could go early(First tender) but we had breakfast on the verandah and were not in a big hurry, being on vacation and all. St Thomas We had costoms @ 0730 so they called people by decks , lower to upper, to disembark, Tortola and nassau, no big hurry again. Disembarkation last day they go by when yur flight leaves and assign you a color and a number , then they call it over the loud speaker. From the time they called our number to the taxi was some like 15-20 minutes, 10 of those are looking for your bags... Hope this helps
Have a great cruise..

Your room card will be slightly different from other pax. You did not say which ship you would be on. I've heard that the cards on Vista class ships are a little different anyway. On S and R class there is a light bronze star on your card that kind of makes up the background of the card. It identifies suite pax to enable them to get priorities where they are offered.

You also have the choice not to put your luggage out until 6 am on the day of disembarkation.

I believe you also have first choice of cabanas on HMC. Most other ship activities are first come first served.

On S and R class the suites are over 500 sq ft and the veranda is large enough to accomodate a table for 4 plus two loungers and another small table. We ate all of our breakfasts on our veranda. If what you want is not on the room service menu that you put out before you go to bed, you can write it in, or call and give your order in the morning.

The same dinners are served in your room as in the dining room, as long as you call within the first half hour of service in the dining room.

Lunches are listed in the cabin booklet room service info. Souvenir dinner menus will be in your room by 1pm so you'll always know in advance what's for dinner, otherwise they're posted outside the dining room in the mid afternoon.

As far as room service goes, everybody gets to order full breakfast lunch and dinner, although breakfast on debarkation day might be limited to PS and S suites (I just don't remember).

You will get a special checkin line for embarkation and your number will be the first called for debarkation.

We had room service breakfast in December on our last morning in our A category Verandah mini-suite -- our last relaxed delight of 10 incredible days!

How could S class passengers get first choice over other passengers for the cabanas on HMC when anyone is allowed to book them online and pick a specific one?

When the cabanas were first built they could not be booked online and only suite pax could book them when they boarded the ship. If they weren't all taken by suite pax then it was opened up to everyone on the ship(s).

Now that all pax can book a cabana online pre-cruise, PS and S pax have the same chance of getting one as everyone else. So I guess it is fair to say that preference in booking a cabana is another suite amenity that has been taken away.

I remember. Those of us in steerage can also order room service breakfast on the last day. :)
I make it standard operating procedure.

Thanks to all for taking your valuable time to reply. I found the information interesting. 'Doing' Mexican cruise on Oosterdam in Nov. I usually travel in a Verandah cabin or mini suite but decided, 'cause my elderly Mom is coming this time, to take a suite. Got my son into an 'A' mini suite since its his first time (ahhh I remember mine - 'giggle') and I want it to be comfortable for him. He wants rest and relaxation and that he will get.. I haven't been in a suite for several yrs and wondered if much has changed and it seems - a lot has! Nothing new though hmmm? I believe that we shall have a fabulous time cause HAL remains, in my humble opinion anyway, wonderful despite some changes..and we all take positive attitudes with us as well. Again, much appreciated info. Happy cruisin' everyone!

We were on the Zuiderdam 1 1/2 years ago and had an S Suite--loved all of the amenities. Has anything changed in what's offered to S Suite passengers? If so, what? Thanks!
