For those who have cruised in the summer, how often is the HMC stop missed due to rough seas and weather conditions? I would tend to assume that this happens mostly in fall/winter but curious nevertheless...

We have cruised the Caribbean a number of times during the summer and love it then.

We have not been turned away from Half Moon Cay in July, August, or September.....I do not recall about June. BUT we easily could have been.

We have been on ships that arrived at HMC on bright, sunny gorgeous, blue skied days and had to leave. The water was very choppy and it was too rough to safely drop tenders.

There is no predicting when/if a ship will not be able to make its call there.

(We missed it again as recently as January on our Veendam cruise.)

I believe it has been posted here many times that the chance of making it into HMC averages out to about 50-50, but I would think the summer would have better odds than that. This is the problem with having to tender into any island.
