Thank you for posting the fleet locations.

Would be very good to be on a "dam" ship, away from the snow showers we are experiencing today.

David, thanks for posting the locations of all of the dam ships. Amsterdam on the Prinsendam sounds good to me - but so does any dam ship right now:D

erewhon,
Could you suggest a site to allow me to check 'down under' weather? I am a teacher, and I have been changed to language arts and social studies this year. Our social studies curriculum includes Australia and New Zealand. It would be fun to "spark" students' interest by showing them some winter temperatures while we are still sweltering from August heat in the northern hemisphere.

I'll search for a photo site with snowy pictures in August...

It is 54 and rainy in Juneau and raining in Ketchikan. I wonder what it is like in Hubbard Glacier. I am glad I went when I did. By the way Ft. Lauderdale Beach is 84 (feels like 92) and I remember walking the boardwalk in ft. Lauderdale last Feb. It was 83 and I was thinking "I could get used to this." Realize at home in Northern Illinois we were battling snow and cold. If I was a rich man I think I would become a snow bird.

At www.tvnz.co.nz (http://www.tvnz.co.nz) viewers from around the country have sent in photos.

Also, www.stuff.co.nz (http://www.stuff.co.nz) is a good source of news of local events.
They did a wonderful job during the earthquakes, at one stage they had updates every 2-3 minutes, and photographic images.
