We have taken the SS airpackage for a forthcoming Med cruise. We booked both the cruise and the flights several months ago. Last week our TA got an email from SS in London saying that they wanted us to change to an earlier flight. This was going to be a pain for us and, after some to-ing and fro-ing, eventually SS confirmed that we could keep the original flight and that it would get us to the ship on time.
I wondered if anyone else has had this approch from SS? If they advise we will make the ship, why try to change the flight time now? We have had confirmed seats for some time now, so it can't be a question of cost now, can it?
Not a real worry but I am just interested to find out if this had happened to anyone else.
thanks

Let me preface this with, "I don't know" but I was wondering...are you traveling at a time of year where weather may be a factor? If so, maybe Silversea was trying to build in an additional cushion to ensure you do arrive on time for the ship. Just a suggestion.

Did your TA ask why they wanted you to take an earlier flight? How much time did you have between plane changes? They may have considered it too tight. Our experience with the SS air folks has been that they are really cooperative and on top of things.
