3 days to go and I have a couple of last minute questions.

1- Can we check a box of sodas in? I've never done this before, as we are starting from 'home' and not flying it seems like a good idea. There are some soda we like that aren't stocked on board.

2- Do the cabins (Normal verandah, not a suite) have cotton wool balls/pads for taking make-up off and also tissues?

I'm trying to take one 23kg suitcase for a 17 night cruise. I need to fit 2 formal outfits in, and clothes to cover all types of weather. Amsterdam and Dublin could be warm, Iceland and Greenland cold so I have a warm 2 in 1 waterproof/fleece coat.
This is impossible packing at it's best :D

1. You can bring on as much as you like of any consumable liquids, from every port, except liquor and beer.
2. Tissues yes, cotton balls no.

If by "check a box of sodas in" you meant can you tag it and have it delivered to your cabin, then yes to that too. :)

I had an SC cabin on Zuiderdam and there was a bin on the vanity with cotton balls and Q-tips. That might be because it was a suite. We had a BA cabin on Maasdam previously but I don't remember getting cotton balls.

We took advantage of the unlimited laundry on our 14 day cruise so we could pack light. What a wonderful treat it was and we loved it!! :D Laundry came back nicely ironed, even my husband's under shirts.

We taped a luggage tag onto some cases of soda and turned them in with our luggage. Everything arrived in our cabin.

Have a great cruise!!!

Thanks for all the information. :)

I've just finished packing.
One suitcase weighing under 23k, containing everything for 17 days ....i'm amazed it all fitted in. I even have 2 formal outfits, and a coat in there. :D
