I'm confused... Am going on the MS Eurodam for the first time in October. Is there a sea view pool there and can anyone go there, or is it a "retreat" area only in which you have to pay for? Thanks for the info in advance!

You're referring to the pool at the stern - It's open and free for all to enjoy.

On the Eurodam the "Retreat" where you pay is toward the other end and is above the mid-ship pool but higher. The Sea View Pool is NOT the retreat and it is FREE. The Veendam and the Rotterdam have these lazy rivers on a raised deck, a free retreat and no sea view pool. They have a "lazy river" and that is for the birds--in my humble opinion.

The Sea View is supposed to be adults only. Last year when we were on the Eurodam, the activity director was trying to arrange some adult pool games and had a terrible time trying to get 3 or 4 young boys out of the pool. He announced several times that the children had to get out. Then finally he told them if they didn't get out on their own, he'd get them out. My question was where are the parents? Sorry to rant but that really riles me.

I have seen this happen on several ships.
Children use the aft pool whenever they want to without their parents being around.
And as you said -- the CD had a hard time getting them out of there.

I visited the Eurodam today when the vessel was docked in Dover and we managed to visit all public areas of the ship including the aft Sea View pool area. It is a very large space with lots of sunbeds so you shouldn't have a problem getting set up there.

Nasmas & all:
To me the simplest cure for this perpetual problem (disobedient children of irresponsible parents) is to fine the parents.
These children and parents know the rules and just believe themselves above them.
So . . . . Take each boy's cruise card, swipe each one, and charge the fine of $100 !
Then, advise the parents as to why.
After all it is always the parents' fault.
You think they would ever be in the aft pool again ??
I think NOT ! !

THANKS JOANIE! I forgot to go to nice project that you have done~duh to me!
I've booked an inside MM guarantee and would like to see a REAL pic of that. Most of the time I get a slight upgrade. I'm thinking it will look like the one I had on the MS Noordam a few years ago. One can hope that I would get a nicer upgrade... That stateroom on the MS Noordam was SOOO small! Oh well, I'm just happy to be able to get on the MS Eurodam!

Doing a Google Search for Images of an MM on Eurodam, I did fond this, which may be a standard view of the Inside Staterooms???:

Edited to post the following: Just found this description on another site about the above photo: "This photo depicts the cabin category of Eurodam Stateroom 4169. It is not the actual picture of the stateroom, but should be quite similar to the actual cabin"
