Half Moon Cay Closed until 9/4

This doesn't change anything for HAL ships but three Carnival ships were supposed to visit during this time and had to be re-routed.

Very glad to hear that the damage isn't that bad and that the horses made it through ok. Sounds like typical beach erosion and plant damage. No reported damage to the cabanas or pirate bar at this time.

AYE, you have to take the good with the bad. My evil side was secretly hoping that the Pirate Bar would be up close and personal with Davy Jone's Locker or at best Fiddlers Green ARRRH ARRRH.

HAL's first call wasn't scheduled until October...... no ships in the Caribbean yet.

Very aware of that...we live in NC and have a place at the coast....we were lucky this time...we are South of the Outer Banks...keeping our fingers crossed and praying no more east coast hits with hurricanes:eek:

HMC dodged a bit of a bullet compared to some other islands in the Bahamas nearby although generally the damage was less than originally expected.
