Does any one know when SS will anounce 2013 itineraries? It is very frustrating not knowing at least the early part of the year. DW and I are loyal to SS, but Crystal has come out with a very attractive B2B from Bali to Hong Kong in 2/13. We have had to commit a deposit to this as we don't know what SS will do. My TA and I have discussed this problem and she says SS keeps saying soon. This has now been more than a month! Any help would be appreciated.

newlondon, from what I recall the past couple of years the out year schedule was announced sometime in the November time frame. So, if the last couple of years is any type of indicator the 2013 schedule would not be available until sometime this November.

Yes Keith is correct, although last year, I think they were late and came out in December. I was on board in November and was hanging out for them but remember I had to put down a deposit on an unspecified voyage.

I can't wait to see what they have planned for 2013.:D

Wish they would do LA-LA to the Hawaiian islands.

Earlier this month aboard Silver Explorer, they were saying that the schedule would come out some time in October. So, it will be some month ending in "r" for sure!

Very frustrating, but it has been this way for as long as I can remember. We get all the other lines' brochures before SS sends out theirs....and it's only SS we care about!

Agree entirely. If the serious competitors (Crystal Seabourn etc )Can prodoce itineries in mid 2011 for 2013 sailings why cant SS?We were told on board the Cloud last week that 2013 schedule would be released in Nov/Dec this year.Nothing to do with the wnderful staff on the ships the problem is back office at FL and Monaco.

Yes, very frustrating when all the other lines are offering deals. I've searched online but nothing yet for 2013.

Most of the luxury lines who list 2013 cruises only go out thru the first three or four months of 2013. I wouldn't expect these until November.

Wish they would do LA-LA to the Hawaiian islands.

Via Tahiti would be perfect! They did this in 2010, and it was wonderful.

I reckon Tahiti to New Zealand would be nice or a cruise that went via Easter Island.

Pity SS doesn't do the Galapagos.

We did the Galapagos for a 5 day overland excursion when we were on the Shadow WC in 2007. It would have been much easier by ship than on the islands themselves. I would like LA/LA via Sydney or Auckland that includes Tahiti!

Have heard that SS can't do the Galapagos; all ships that go there have to be of Ecuadorian registry. Don't know if that's reallly true...

Whatever the reason, Silver Explorer would be an awesome way to see the Galapagos! Oh well.

No, it is not. The Celebrity Xpedition that I am taking in February and that I see you are taking in November is registered in The Bahamas. Most of the crew does have to the Ecuadorian, and all the food must be local. In addition, the Ecuadorian government limits the number of people and ships that can go at all, so it may be a quota issue. Regardless, I think the Explorer is way too big. Xpedition is the biggest ship that can navigate the Galapagos, and it only holds 96 passengers.

We are also looking to discover the South Pacific in 2013. So far, I've only found information with Oceania Marina, but would prefer to sail with my Silversea.

I heard there is a possibility it might be part of the World Cruise.

Keep us posted.

Yes, per phone call a few minutes ago with super SS rep in Ft. Lauderdale, Cindy Spiveck, the Whisper WC in 2013 starts with a pacific crossing. For those eager beavers you can board the Whisper in FLL, Dec 20th for the holiday voyage that will end in early Jan in LA. Venetian members will be receiving a WC 2013 letter next week outlining the general itinerary parameters w/o the cost. Cindy told me the Whisper embarks from LA, goes to the Marquesas Islands, French Polynesia (Papeete, Moorea, Bora Bora) Cook Islands, Australia, New Zealand then off to the Philippines, South Africa, et.al.

Silversea is quite wise to dispatch the Shadow/Whisper to those "premium" itineraries, world cruises and combo odysseys, they are the more luxurious ships able to command higher per diem fares. Also, it is appropriate to send the larger Spirit to the more "mass market" itineraries, such as Caribbean in Winter and Mediterranean during Summer. These itineraries are either shorter, appealing to a newer group of passengers, or cheaper on a per diem basis, not to mention higher volume (larger number of passengers). On the whole, the Cloud/Wind appear to be slighty cheaper per diem than Shadow/Whisper, and they usually sail the less populated specialty routes. It all makes sense, doesn't it?

I just visited to Venetian section of the Silversea website. They mention that they have decided to do a 30 day LA to LA South Pacific cruise, Polynesia, Hawaii, etc. on the Silver Spirit, beginning January 2, 2013. Sounds great. It does not yet appear in the regular itinerary section. This is only two days before the Whisper leaves LA to begin the world cruise.

One correction: The Spirit Pacific cruise departs LA on FEBRUARY 2, 2013, not January,

Dieter, We're seriously considering booking this Voyage vs the Capetown to FLL WC 2013 last segment. Voyage #5304A,B, Carl the Spirit's cruise consultant believes you will have to book both seggies when the 2013 bookings open end of November. For those interested in this Pacific crossing, you can start early or end late by including the FLL to LA or LA to FLL segments

One correction: The Spirit Pacific cruise departs LA on FEBRUARY 2, 2013, not January,

This was highlighted at the Venetian Party on the Cloud crossing, it will take in French Polynesia, Kiribati, Christmas Island and come back to LA via a tour around the Hawaiian Islands. 30 days, loads of sea days and lots of time for bridge, or anything else that takes one's fancy.

As of 8:45 eastern time, 2013 voyages not posted. According to my TA, it may be several more days before they upload schedules and pricing (according to SS Ft. Lauderdale)
This conflicts with on-board 2013 booking as reported in this link.
There may be a disconnect between the ships and Ft. Lauderdale.

STILL waiting to hear from FT L about the WL for the 2013 WC. The time changes and the WE closing make it more frustrating! Maybe today.

I was able to view the itinerary and fares for SE Asia on the the web site on Saturday the 17th. Very disappointed with the itin. the fares were good. After discussions with DW decided to go RSSC.
