Does anyone have any info on the policy at Port Everglades if you are doing a B2B. Can you stay on the ship? Do you have to clear customs or immigration? I did a B2B an Princess a few years back in Puerto Rico and went on a shore excursion.:D TA is not sure of HAL's policy.

You have to get off the ship for just a minute to go through Immigration (not Customs as you don't declare anything until you are getting off the 2nd week and taking all you bought with you). All you do is walk past the Immigration people, smile, flash your passport and get right back on the ship through the crew entrance. Takes about 3 minutes total. :)

Or can do an excursion in FLL if you wish.

Be sure to bring both your old ID and the new ID (ship's card) as the security folks may give you a hard time trying to reboard unless you can prove to them you are 'in transit'. In transit means that you are a continuing passenger and not scheduled to disembark at that time.

The last night of your first cruise, you will recieve (delivered to your cabin) a letter explaining meal hours, what will be open/closed when, and specific directions as to Immigration requirements. Your new ID for the upcoming cruise will be enclosed in that envelope.
