Is there a rule about bringing your own blender on board? I want to mix my own drinks!

You need to read the blender thread. It's halarious! But to answer your question, there's nothing I know of to prevent your bringing a blender on board. Question is, why? By the time you have all the mixers, ice, etc. you have quite a mess to contend with when you can easily get drinks from the bar then take them back to your cabin.

Blenders? Satellite Radios/Boom Boxes? DVD Players and DVD's? Portable CD Players w/ Speakers and a supply of CD's? Cases of Wine? I think some people need a UHaul to get to the ship or maybe should just re-consider whether they really want to leave home at all. :D

I actually just wanted to see what responses I would get. Like you said, WHY would you ever want to do that.

You forgot walkie talkies, cell phones, coffee pots, bungee cords, duct tape, irons, steamers, candles, over the door shoe holders, portable tables for the balcony, collapsible coolers and pillows.

I am sure I missed something.

OMG I have never laughed so hard in my life. As I kept reading this post I had to wonder, "were you lookin in my luggage"? :)
Now I have to admit, as I read thru that post, I was raising my hand left and right.
1)walkie talkies
2)cellphone <to use in ports, had to let family know we were ok>
3)that bungee cord <worked great on that door out to the balcony>
4)the duct tape came in handy when we got back home <it was raining, I had to cover the luggage with plastic bags and tape shut, being I drive a truck> came in handy for other things as well on the ship<wink>, :p
5) thank gawd for that soft toilet paper <VBG>
6)iron/steamer combo <have to admit I never needed it>
7)had over the door shelves instead of shoe holder <worked great for all bathroom items to store in>,
8)the cooler kept my soda's cold and that smuggled liquor <smirk>,
9)pillow <never leave home without it>
10) and to think, dbf asked if he could bring a blender. Of course I said, NO LOL:D
Can't wait to go again. This time only two will be in the cabin, not 3.

I remember the blender thread. Very funny stuff :D I know some people who do bring a blender with them onboard. They stop for mixes in FLL or wherever they board from. Being a female, I have a hard enough time keeping the weight limit of the suitcases under 50lbs. I envy those that can bring all those little extra's.

Hey folks, reconsider the soft TP. I understand the need but it's the #1 cause of plugged toilets/pipes on cruise ships as it's too thick. There is a reason why they give us that nasty thin stuff. Happy Sailing!

Now you can bring a hand powered blender - burn off those calories before you add more!

3)that bungee cord <worked great on that door out to the balcony>

So ... THAT's the reason why my AC kept freezing up!!! Ah-so! ;)

Love the original Blender Thread.
Mustn't forget the rifles for "skeet" shooting off the Sports Deck ... or the lines and hooks for Marlin fishing (trolling) off the after verandah's. Oh, and a Map of the ship showing where club HAL meets. ;) :D

We were on Carnival Victory lol, so it wasn't me.:p Was not happy with them, after this past cruise, so we thought we would try something new. <best redneck voice> You meannnn they have skeettttt shootin? Gettin the gun. Hmm think I can get it past customs. lol :D

This will be our first time on HAL. We will be sailing on the MS Veendam on 4/02/05. It was a last min decision, and so we had to book what we could get. We booked a DD but, received our documents today and was given, a D cabin on the main deck, toward the back of the ship. Anyone happen to know anything about these cabins? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Lulu
