Doing the 3/26 on the Zuiderdam. We booked yesterday - kinda late so I'm trying to quickly figure out what excursions we might want to do.

Last night in conversation my DH informed me he wasn't thrilled with idea of snokeling at all. I also doubt he would be interested in the horseback riding.

I'm game for just about anything. Any ideas for us..... btw - we are in our mid 40s....

Thanks in advance

Welcome on board. DW and I (also mid-40s) are going to be on the Zuiderdam. Hope to meet you there.

I'm guessing that if DH doesn't like snorkeling, I shouldn't suggest scuba diving.:D I haven't been there, but Tortola supposedly has some beautiful beaches. What do you enjoy doing? In St. Thomas we just hopped in a cab and went to the beach last year. Many people take a ferry ride over to St. John.

HMC is a beautiful beach. I know some people who went parasailing there and had a blast.

Not sure if this helps much.

There is a sting ray adventure on HMC as well as some jeep excursions available through HAL. Check out the website :)

Take a taxi to Megan's Bay in St. Thomas for $6/pp. Walk to the far left end and watch the pelicans and other seabirds dive for fish in the water. If you wear polarized sunglasses, you can wade out into the water and see hundreds of little fishies swimming around your legs without sticking your face in the water.

Some friends brought their snorkel gear and swam out to the rocks - they saw a sea turtle under the water eating a dead fish!

Take lots of sunscreen & use it!!!

Take a cab to Cane Garden Bay on Tortola, and spend the day on a rented beach chair. There are restaurants on the beach for lunch.

Welcome, Foxy Terrier. I wish I could be as spontaneous as you are! My husband and I are going to be on the same cruise with some friends who are first timers. We're going kayaking in HMC, which I think will be a lot of fun. Otherwise, beaching it. If you are not that interested in beaches, you could go on one of those island tours. I have always enjoyed them. Plus, there's always shopping! Hope we all have a
great time!
