We just got our suite assignment for our December cruise (very early it seems, I thought that room guarantees were usually fixed much closer to cruising date) and it's 606 on the Shadow, right at the front, next to the Royal Suite.

Checking on the chart, the suite is marked with a small triangle which the legend says means "3rd guest capacity room". What does that actually mean about the room? Is it actually larger, or does silversea just not put any furniture in it or something.

I did try the thread search but came up blank, probably didn't hit the right search terms as I'm sure this must have been commented on before.

Hi, we get these all the time since our daughter travels with us. The rooms as the same as the non-3rd person rooms - same size, furniture and configuration; the only difference is the sofa can make into a bed for the 3rd person (ie, it is a sleeper sofa) and so the life jackets (normally kept under the sofa seat) are kept on the top closet shelf.

Enjoy your cruise!
