I very much enjoyed the day pass I bought as soon as I embarked on Eurodam this past January and so want to buy a few day passes when I board the Ryndam this coming January but is there a maximum number you can buy?
I did call HAL Ship Services and was advised the whole week could be purchased for $150 single guest but since I'm unlikely to use it for a least a couple of those days I wondered whether I could buy three $30 day passes when I board. Anyone do this and have any input?
I did search but CC search is not what it used to be.

There isn't any limit to the number of day passes that you can buy.
But they do limit the number of day passes that are sold each day.
So there could be a day already sold out by the time you buy your passes -- unless you are among the first to get there and buy them.

Can I buy multiple day passes at embarkation? Last time I only bought only one day pass so didn't ask if I could buy several at that time.

I am sure you cannot pre buy one day for later in the week on embarkation day. Each day is dependent on how many Week Long Passes they sell. Those that purchase the pass for the full week get first priority and if you purchased for just the day and want to use the spa you could be denied.
Now the one thing to remember is that the Thermal Suite is much smaller and quite a bit different on the Ryndam than it is on the Eurodam. The Thermal Suite has both the Heated Ceramic Lounge Chairs and a Hot Tub all in one room rather than the very larger Therapy Pool in a separate Room that the Signature Class and Vista Class has. Also there are less Thermal Heated chairs. This is why the pass for the week on the Ryndam is less money than they charge on the Vista and Signature Class ships.
Selling a pass for the day is really going to depend on how many weekly passes they sold. I had an interesting experience on the Westerdam in May It was mid morning and we had breakfast then walked around the ship and I went to the Spa to see how crowded it was because I did not purchase the Spa for the week I just wanted to do like you and have a couple of day passes. They told me no problem hardly anyone was there. I could see by looking between the shades into the Hydro Pool area there was not one person in there. So went to our cabin grabbed my swim suit and came right back down (less than 10 minutes) Suddenly they claimed at the desk they could not sell me a day pass because the Thermal Suite was full and unless I wanted to purchase a pass for the week they would not let me use it. Trust me I was not happy but I was very nice and kept insisting that I had just been down here and asked as well as I could see no one was using the Therapy Pool. So finally she sold me a pass for the day but it was to be for just the Therapy Pool. (they charged me half the price) So I went to the Therapy Pool but there is a door between the two room so I took a peak expecting everyone heated lounge chair to be full. Guess what there were just two people in there :D
I ended up using both room like I normally do.

Thanks Lisa and that makes sense as thinking back I bought one day pass at embarkation on Eurodam and thought I could just choose to use it whenever during the week but when I went on day three they said they'd expected me to show up on day two. I must've look a little confused and they took pity on me and said it was no problem to use it that day instead and I had a realy nice day with several spells in the facility. Really nice, friendly staff.
Thanks also for the hints about how it's arranged on Ryndam as I wasn't exactly sure how it differed in set-up from Visa & Signature class ships.
I might just buy the week long pass for simplicity as I really enjoy the experience, more so than all the spa treatments.

We were on the Ryndam last October -- Looking over my pictures -- I see that I didn't take any of the "thermo" hot tub.
It is small -- nothing like the one on the Eurodam.

Does anyone know if you are able to purchase the week long pass prior to boarding? I went to the Spa webpage but didn't see that option.
When we were on Zuidy, we purchased our pass the first day. However, I thought I'd arrange it before our Eurodam cruise, if possible.

Just a warning about pre purchasing the Thermal Suite Pass. Many have reported that what they paid in advance was more money than what was actually being charged on the ship. No one has ever reported that they saved money by pre-purchasing. So personally I would wait till I got on board so not to have to go thru the hassle of getting HAL to credit back the the amount you were over charged.

Last February I bought a week long pass via Ship Services. When I went to the spa checkin desk for the first time, the lovely attendant first thought I was booking then. When I told her to check, because I had prepaid, she did so and said something like "oh, it's less when you pay onboard," and she took the time to refund the difference. Something so gracious right at the start of the cruise really sets a wonderful tone. Wish I had made note of her name!

Good info and thanks for sharing. :) I'll wait until embarkation and ask then about a week pass and if it's a good deal will likley get it instead of bothering with individial day passes and possibly be denied.

Thanks for that information. Our kids were thinking the pre-paid pass would be an easy Christmas present but perhaps it is better if they just arrange an OBC.

I am going on a 14-day cruise that has lots of sea days. We LOVE the Thermal Suites. I want to be sure that we can buy a 2-week pass and I'm afraid if we wait until we are onboard that it might be sold out. Is it much more money to pre-purchase? Peace of mind that we have our passes trumps a few dollars saved, but is it alot of $$?

Trust me when you get on board they will not be sold out.
I just went to my on line to see if you can buy the pass for the full two weeks and there was not an option, so probably have to call it in. But I honestly don't think it is a problem. Most who consider this do not really think about it till they get on board and maybe do the tour of the spa, some do not purchase till the next day.

It was the time I pre-purchased. I went to the salon after boarding, confirmed the on-board booking price, and a refund was applied to my on-board charges.
It was very simple. Doing that would allay your fears and still get you the lowest price.

I called Ship Services and it is $499 for a couple for my 14-day cruise. This price is comparable to my 7-day cruise last November ($250/couple). I will pre-purchase this tonight or tomorrow (I forgot my credit card) so our spots are reserved. ;)

The Thermal Suite package is one of the reasons that we love HAL Vista/Signature ships, so for us we always book this prior to boarding just to be sure that for some freakish reason it isn't sold out when we board. Twice now we have had refunds, but this was not a problem at all. At least we have the peace of mind prior to boarding knowing that we will not be denied our favorite thing on the ship.

If I might ask how much was the difference? A few dollars or quite a few dollars?

It was something like a $40 or so difference for the two of us on the week-long package.

I think it was $50 total; it was something close to that. It was a 10-day cruise, and there were two of us on tha plan.

Thanks for the tips Ruth C & djhsolara as knowing I can sign up in advance and have any difference refunded to my account is quite user-friendly. :)
