Question About Zuiderdam Deluxe Suites

I’ve only had a deluxe suite once, and that was on the Amsterdam. As I recall, there were only SA and SB deluxe suites, and they were all on the same deck as the Neptune Lounge.

I’m considering a short cruise on the Zuiderdam, and it looks like that ship also offers an SC category of deluxe suites. In addition, there appear to be only 8 of them on 3 decks, and they’re all aft cabins.

Would someone who’s sailed on the Zuiderdam or has knowledge of this confirm my understanding? The reason I’m asking is that on this particular cruise, the cabins can only be booked as guarantees.

The SC's are all Aft Wrap Around Staterooms:) They, to me at least are the best staterooms on the Signature and Vista Class ships:)

In addition to the SC's on various decks. there are also 6 SB's located midship on the Upper Verandah Deck (deck 6).

When is the cruise Roz?

I will be in SB 7142 on Zuiderdam this Saturday for 2 weeks. When I get back on the 25th I will have photos and measurements:)

JoanieLike Joanie, we've loved our aft-wraps. But, not ALL SCs are aft-wraps. Cabins 6164 and 6175 are SCs on deck six and are handicapped cabins.

If you choose "SC guarantee", Roz, you might end up in one of those.

We were in an SC a couple years ago - it was on the back of the ship, but not a wrap around. It was awesome.

Like Joanie, we've loved our aft-wraps. But, not ALL SCs are aft-wraps. Cabins 6164 and 6175 are SCs on deck six and are handicapped cabins.

If you choose "SC guarantee", Roz, you might end up in one of those.

We were in an SC Suite on the 4th Deck on the Eurodam a couple of years back, and it was a wonderful stateroom. Loved the wrap around deck. Althought the balcony may be narrower than that on the Zuiderdam, having all that space was awesome for viewing the scenery. The suite is ample in size and very comfortable. The one down side is the fact it is so far from the Neptune Lounge. That wasn't a big deal for us as we didn't have the need to use it much, and the concierge was just a phone call away.... Enjoy it if you get one!

You can't go wrong with the corner sc cabins. Im sitting on my huge balcony as I write this. I'm in room 5190 and we could have a dance partyon the balcony.

Yep, they were handicapped cabins. We got upgraded at the very last minute to this. They asked if we would mind a handicap cabin, which we did not - apparently there was no one who needed it. It was in a great location. Loved it!
