Why is it so hard to find HAL MDR menus for a 14 day cruise??
Are HAL menus standard thru out their fleet?
I can find current menus for HAL competitors but not HAL?? Why??

The menus will vary by itinerary.

Are you on a Hawaiian cruise? They will be different than a 10 or 7 day cruise.

Unless someone takes the time to type up the menus or scan the menus -- they don't show up here.

Also HAL hasn't started the Hawaiian season yet -- and I don't remember seeing any menus from last year.

You don't usually get to keep the menus, they collect them up after you order, just like they do in any restaurant. Can you imagine the cost if everyone were to keep the menu. What would do with them anyway.

People take digital photos of the menus, suite guess can get the menus delivered to their cabins --so taking a photo should be easy--so what is your
point.

I really hadn't thought of taking a digital picture of them, thank you sounds like a good idea.

the menuswill be the same for each week. If you want the menus, just ask the waiter or dining room captain and they will give it to you. I've even had them put together the weeks menus in a folder.

Yes -- deluxe suite guests get the dinner menus delivered to their cabins usually every morning.

We have been on a couple of ships where they were not delivered until 1 PM.

I bring them home -- sometimes I post them -- sometimes I don't.

OP is on a 14 day Hawaiian cruise -- menus will vary each night.

If the sailing is also available as a "Collector's Voyage," the menus may differ slightly, but major events will be the same (formal nights, Master Chef, as examples).

The OP is on the Oosterdam Circle Hawaii 14 day cruise. The first one of these will depart I believe 10-22. Perhaps someone off that cruise will be doing a Live from (Nudge nudge LAFFNVEGAS :D) or should I say beg beg :) that will be able to give us an idea of the menus and activities before we depart in December

We are doing a 30 day cruise to Hawaii/Tahiti next Fall, 2012. How are the menu choices for the longer trips --- repeats every 7 to 10 days ??? Or are choices more in keeping with the destinations ? Thanks.

If this is truly one cruise, and not a Collector's, or several back to back cruises, then the menu will not repeat. That is not to say that some entrées won't be offered more than once, they will be. But the choices as a whole on any given night will not come again.

So I have to ask, since this seems to be a big deal for you:
Do you plan to cancel the trip if the dinner menu does not suit your tastes?
IMO, perks of travel are new things and surprises.

If I want predictable, I'll stay home.

If you wish to take photos of daily menus, just stop by the MDR entry area during the day. The dinner (and lunch) menus are on display and are easy to photograph there.
