I am considering back to back cruises (same ship). I will not be able to book the same cabin, but will be able to do the same category (SC).

Question - since the cabins will change, how do I handle the luggage issue? Also, will I have to disembark and then embark for the next cruise?

Thanks

We did this on our last cruise.
Our cabin stewards brought a luggage cart and loaded our luggage and transferred it to our new cabin.
We did not have to disembark, just went to a holding area as the cleared the ship and then returned before the new passengers were boarded. It was about 30 minutes.

Luggage is not an issue. Your cabin steward will handle majority of it. You will want to handle the personal things like emptying your safe, personal toiletries, etc and carry them to the new room. You will get a new key card from the front desk and will probably be asked to walk off and then back on the ship to activate it into their system. Plan on spending about an hour or so mid morning on the day of the turnover to do this.

Someone posted a while back that you don't have to empty your drawers. They just bring the full ones to your next stateroom and swap them out.

In addition to the above, your hanging cloths they'll take on the hangers to the new cabin. It really doesn't take long. It is very easy. If you are going to be in the same category, ask at the front desk during the week before, they might be able to keep you in the same cabin.

I doubt if that can be arranged -- as Dave noted -- he isn't able to have the same cabin for the second cruise -- someone has already booked it. I know that I would not be willing to trade cabins as we specifically book certain cabins.

The only items you will really have to pack will be your toiletries and anything else that is laying around the cabin.
