Hi, has anyone visited this port before as no port reviews on this site and very little info ( even on the tourist board site!). the FO excursion brochure woudl suggest that the city centre is walkable from the pier but can anyone advise?

It looks like the most exciting thing in Halmstad is the Castle,view it on Wiki,the port area from photos looks industrial,otherwise can,t help.:)

as was said there is a castle and as it is being used by boudicca for the 1st time i can see why.after balmoral diverting to another danish port and was totally poor. i hear shippax where they produce ship magazine might give us a tour there.
