There will be a gathering of Cruise Critic folks in Las Vegas on Monday, April 4th. We will have dinner together at 7:00 and see pix of Laffnvegas' Westerdam cruise. So far, BillS, Laffnvegas and I will be there with spouses and JaniceB will be in town and join us, too. If you're in the area or plan to be, we hope you'll join us. E-mail me and I'll provide the location.

How nice! Unfortunately DH and I both work at that time, but it would be fun to meet fellow Vegas cruisers sometime!

I doubt I can talk DH into another week in Vegas, but at least I will meet localady and her family on the Zaandam. My thanks to Jim for arranging this meeting. I am looking forward to it. Hopefully I will have some pictures of the Zaandam to share, also.

I'm so bummed...I'm actually going to be in Vegas with my hubby and dad from Sunday until Tuesday...but we're having dinner at Prime Monday (I'm really looking forward to eating there!). Our reservations are for 5:30 (my dad likes to eat early) so we couldn't meet up with you at 7. However, we could probably meet up with you guys after dinner...

Let me know your thoughts!

Tiffany, I am not sure how long it will take to dine at Prime but My guess if you could stop over to the Macaroni Grill at about 8 we should still be there and maybe have a desert with us:) You can email me and I will give you the address. When you say you are eating at Prime are you talking about Flemings Prime out on W Charleston? That is probably about 15 minutes away from where we are eating although yours is much nicer:D I am sure the others would love if you could at least stop by and see the Real Las Vegas CC HAL Board group.

Hi there!

We're actually eating at the Prime in the Bellagio...Zagat's given it a vrey high rating and my dad's treating all of us...yum!

Anyway, as I mentioned earlier...there's a good possibility that we'll be able to pop on over...but no promises. I would love to meet all of you in person...but it will all depend on how dinner goes (and how much wine is consumed :D )

Hopefully we'll connect Monday...

Hey everyone!

Sorry we didn't make it out to meet everyone. We were still eating dinner...initially, we were supposed to be at Prime in the Bellagio. We ended up at Bouchon at the Venitian (our hotel) for one reason...

My dear dad has had a bottle of 1982 Dom Perignon for quite some time. He's always been saying he'll pop it on a special day...when we decided that we should just celebrate today! So, we made reservations at Prime...checked the corkage fee...and thought all was right with the world. Turns out, Prime wouldn't let us bring in our bottle because they sell Dom...but not a 1982 vintage. Even though we were told by the reservation line that it would be okay, they wouldn't let us...so, we left. Ended up at Bouchon in our hotel where we had a great meal and one heck of a bottle of champagne. There was a similar vintage on the menu for $1,300!!!! So, I'm pretty sure that was the most expensive bottle I've ever had the honor of partaking in. And it was yummy!

So, hope you all had fun and I'm sure we'll meet somewhere in the middle of the deep blue one day!

Too bad you could not of joined us we had a nice time chatting with Janice. Unfortunely Bill and his wife could not make it. Just let us know when you might be in Las Vegas again.

Hi Vegas CCers!

I apologize for intruding on your thread, but just wanted to report that my family & I spent 3/27 - 3/30 in your city & had a nice time. I had e-mailed Lisa beforehand with a few questions & really appreciated the advice from a local. Our first evening we had dinner at the Main Street Buffet then walked Freemont street for the Freemont experience. We were able to visit almost all the hotels on the strip to look around and take advantage of the free attractions. We also spent a day at Red Rock Canyon - my boys, both scouts, really enjoyed doing some hiking there & would love to have done some climbing, but did not have equipment. Unfortunately, the rides at the top of the Stratosphere were closed due to high winds any of the times we could get up there so the boys were disappointed, but the view was great! The boys were able to take a ride on the Manhattan Express at NY NY. I do not gamble & do not like the smoky atmosphere of casinos so I didn't really appreciate that I had to walk thru one to go anywhere, but other than that we had a nice visit. We also visited Hoover Dam, Sedona, Oak Creek Canyon & the Grand Canyon. Lisa, we didn't make it to the Aladdin buffet, but the Luxor's was very nice & it was convenient to eat there prior to Blue Man Group. I especially enjoyed the views and taking in the ever changing scenery from Nevada to Arizona & hope to be able to take another trip to spend more time in the area.

Just wanted to say "hi" to you folks in Las Vegas & thanks to your city for making us welcome!

Hi, would love to join the group if you have another meeting. We live in
Vegas and have seen you (Laffnvegas) on the boards. DH and I cruise
often, try to get in 2 a year. Have a cruise planned on HAL for Dec.'05
and RCL Freedom on the Seas Dec.06. Looking for something in between
the 2, maybe something out of the west coast. Maybe you guys could
give us some advise.
We live on the west side of town, let us know if and when you plan
another get together.
Well, need to get my errands done this morning, we have a wind advisory
for this afternoon.
Ciao, Ann

Ann, Welcome, we would love to have you join us. Also a another member of CC board "thejudge" who works with me also plans to start joining us. He was on the Westerdam the week before us this past month and is joining us on the Oosterdam in October.

Another CC member localady will be in Las Vegas on the 24th and we are in the beginning stages of planning a little get together. I will post when I have more info.

There's one in the planning for next month. Unfortunately (or fortunately, either one) I will be with my grandchildren at Disneyland that weekend.
