On board liquor shop - Westerdam

If I buy a bottle of rum in the ship liquor store, do they hold it until the end of the cruise, or am I allowed to take it to my cabin to consume during the cruise? A few years ago, on the Golden Princess, when I bought a bottle of rum on the ship, they wouldn't let me take it to my cabin - just returned it to me at the end of the cruise.

Liquor sold in the shop is held until the day before disembarkation.
However, you can purchase a bottle for your cabin! Just call Room Service, or buy a bottle at any bar. You can also purchase before you board by ordering from Seattle.

You can go to your reservation and under indulgences you can pre order alcohol to be delivered to your stateroom. Enjoy your cruise...... :)

Yes, but HAL is still pretty reasonable. A liter of Bombay Sapphire was about $40, IIRC, plus a small service charge - delivered to the room.

Not bad, considering Celebrity for example will charge at least twice that or more...
