Has anyone used "Luggage Free". I found them with a link from the RSSC website. It seems they can pick up our suitcases at our home before the cruise and deliver them to the cruise line and our ship. That way we could just scoot through the airport with our carry on bags. I'm wondering how reliable this service is. It would be pretty darn inconvenient to start our cruise with missing luggage. I'm also wondering what the procedure is for shipping the bags back home again. Do they pick up from the ship? Would we have to claim our luggage out of the stacks on the wharf and then try to find the Luggage Free agent?
I guess I'm just looking for pros and cons of this service. It's expensive but we are traveling around the holidays and I expect the airports might be crowded and hectic.

I used them in 2009 when we went to Alaska. Very satisfied but expensive. They pick up your luggage at your home and you won't see it until it arrives in your suite. The butler took care of it at the end of the cruise. The luggage arrived home the day after we arrived home.
You must give them a very detailed list of the contents, especially if leaving the U.S.
Travel is much easier this way.

We're very satisfied with Luggage Free service - shipped a large case from our home to Regent Voyager for Carribbean cruise RT FLL - very convenient.
TIP: Our large cases were heavy empty so bought an inexpensive lightweight 28- inch pullman at Walmart, thus the total weight was much lower than if we used our heavy bags.
Even considering the $39 Walmart pullman we still saved money and can use Walmart case in the future.

Thank you TedC and Tourguide97. It does seem expensive but we won't need the express service and it seems to solve some of the airport problems. Good hint on using light luggage. It sounds like they wrap everything securely so I would be less worried about latches or zippers on an inexpensive bag failing.
We love to cruise and hate to fly, maybe this is a really good way to make it easier as we get older and less able to run that airport marathon.
