I heard a "rumor" that the Zaandam now has internet access in their staterooms. Is this true and if so does anyone know the cost of use?

I'd really like to know the answer to that too - being the internet junkie that I am.

AS far as I know, in-cabin service is still only on the Vista class ships. The Digital Seas (http://www.mtnsat.com/ds_kbyg_hal.htm) web site puts it like this:
Holland America’s Vista Class ships [Zuiderdam, Oosterdam, Westerdam] offer In-cabin dial-up Internet access for those guests traveling with their own laptop computer. Connection is by phone cord at 56K modem dial-up speed. Phone cords and additional software, if needed, are available onboard the ship.
RATE: $0.50 per minute. Time plans or advertised Internet Café specials do not apply to in-cabin dial-up service.
