We are new to HAL and have only cruised with NCL and Disney in the past. I've read about people getting dinner from the dining room delivered by room service. We are in a S suite and were wondering what is involved with this. I read that you have to call the dining room within the first half hour. So all you have to do is call them and they bring the regular dinner you would have in the dining room to your stateroom?!

Yes, you can have dinner delivered to your cabin.

In an "S suite, you will receive a copy of the dinner menu every morning. If you wish, you could decide what you would like and what time you wish it delivered. You could speak with the concierge and ask her to order it for you or you can call room service yourself (which is what I recommend) when the dining room opens for the first dinner seating. You need to order it early but can have it delivered at any time during the regular dinner service hours.

You may want to consider having the concierge order the dinner. It can be very hard to get through to room service in the first half hour. Be prepared for the dinner to arrive all at once, so order hot and cold accordingly. :)
