Do you tip the congeierge if you ask them to do something? Say I want to have them order me room service for dinner. Would you tip? How much?
Thanks,

We tip at the end of the cruise as we do the suite or dining stewards, in line with the amount of service he/she has provided throughout the cruise.

We tipped each of the Concierges $20.00 on our last cruise on the Westerdam and I gave one of the waitresses in the Neptune Lounge $10.00 also. They were always so helpful and they accomplished everything I asked them to do.

We tipped the concierge on our SA cruise as she was extremely helpful to us with a couple of situations. I forget the amount but we felt she went above and beyond for us.

Yep, we've always tipped at the end. Never tipped room service waiters before, and feel awful about it now that I've read these boards! Will do so from now on.

We tip room service a few bucks each time, a few times it was different stewards, at the end we gave the guy who served us most of the days a few extra bucks.

We always tip the concierge(s) the last day of the cruise. The amount depends upon how much specialized service we requested.

We also ALWAYS tip the Room Service Steward at the time of service. Sometimes you have to make a game out of it as they come in with their fabulous, big smiles. Greet us beautifully and then rush for the door. If we do not have the money out and ready to give him, he will get away too fast. Seriously, we have NEVER seen any HAL Room Service Steward linger around waiting for a tip. Sure, sometimes we chat but we never have any inkling they are looking for a tip. (I guess they know we'll always have it ready....hehehehe)

Even though they often tell us the first morning they bring our breakfast that they will be our steward for the whole cruise, we still tip daily in case his assignment gets changed and we don't see him again.
