View Full Version : Earliest debarkation on Zuiderdam?

Can anyone tell me what is the earliest debarkation for s suites? We found a great deal on Airtran but it has either a 10:33am flight or 5:00pm. Would we be able to make the 10:33am flight?

I was in an S Suite last week. I was off the ship and at the airport at 9:00 AM.

There is just no guarantee that the ship will arrive in port at the estimated time.
So you run the risk of missing an early flight.
The ride to the airport is short, so if the ship docks on time, you can get there in plenty of time.

Last fall Z-dam @ dock early---but---- glitch with customs--helicopters with cameras flying over--I think a drug bust not sure.. Disembark delayed til 9:30

Would anyone care to put odds on DW and I making our 11:30 am flight out of FLL. I hated to reserve this flight but we have a wedding to attend that day and we would feel like first class jerks if we missed it, that is the flight or the wedding. Thanks, Joe V.

I've never had to catch a plane from the port, as I live only 1 1/2 hours north.
But I think chances are better for an 11:30 flight than for a 10:30, as the OP asked about. Gives you that little cushion.
I've been on 4 cruises out of Port Everglades, and have never had a late arrival. I don't know how frequently that happens, but some more experienced cruisers could probably give you more insight.
If disembarkation were as late as 9:30, as another poster said, you could still get to the airport by 10 if you took a taxi [not waiting for a shuttle bus].
