We are sailing on the Rotterdam April 29. 2005 from Venice to Venice

We will be in Livorno on May 4, 2005, and are looking for a driver to take us into Florence. We have a good idea of what we want to see, so we have no need of a guide. We would appreciate hearing from anyone who has had a driver they would reccomend.

We used Bob's Limousines when we needed a driver from the Port to the airport in Rome a couple of years ago. My sister also used him when wanting to be driven from Rome to Florence and then Florence to Venice so I do know that he goes all over Italy.

In October 2003, we used Driving Guide Tours, from Florence. I arranged our transportation from Livorno to Florence, and the return trip to the ship with Paulo of Driving Guide Tours. Our driver was Gianni Baldinotti, a very nice young man. Although high winds kept our ship from docking for three hours, Gianni was still waiting for us. In fact, the ship had to cancel their bus tours to Florence, so we were among the very few who got to spend the day there. Gianni met us at a designated place for the trip back.

The email address -- dguide@ats.it - ask for Paulo - and maybe you will get Gianni if you use this service. Their charge was quite in line with all the agencies I checked, and they were nice to deal with. I felt Paulo was my friend in Florence.

My husband and I are on your cruise. There are a number of good services, but rather steep for just two. If you need more riders to join you, let me know.

We are seeking anoather couple to share a car from the Ship in Venice on April 29 to Milan with 2 hr stops in Padua and Verona and perhaps other stops It is not that expensive for 4 we are doing it in any event but it would be nice to have another couple to share
