My husband and I are planning a cruise to renew our vows and have our second honeymoon on. I searched the Holland website and couldnt get any informatin on renewing vows and romantic packages. Anyone have any information?

My DH and I are doing our Renewal on the Nieuw Amsterdam during our upcoming trip 11/13/11. The only thing that the link TheKuhnFamily doesn't tell you is the day and time of the event. That is up to the Captain and and you will find out when you board. At first I was a bit uneasy with this but with the help of the KuhnFamily,Foxpaw and other CCers I now feel completely comfortable that HAL will make it a beautiful ceremony. Enjoy your second honeymoon and cherish each other always!

Welcome to Cruise Critic.
Quite a few people have done the renewal of vows ceremony on here. And I have never heard one bad word about it.

We did it in 1997 on the Ryndam to celebrate our 25th anniversary. HAL made the occasion really special.
I know it is a long time ago but I am sure it is still as wonderful.

We attended A Wedding Vow renewal for two couples on our MS Rotterdam TA this year. We were both impressed with the ceremony. I remember the two couples were a little frustrated over what day it would take place. Other than that everyone was very pleased.

I'm glad to see the link. I'd been looking for it under Gifts, where I think it used to be. We've renewed our vows more than once on HAL, and can recommend it. It's a great value. The ceremony is lovely. It's also a chance to include new or old friends for a small fee. I may have just talked myself into it again.......

We did it for our 35th anniversary and are doing it this year on the Zuidy for our 40th. Our friends who were our Maid of Honor and Best Man are cruising with us so they will be there also. They thought it was so great that they are renewing their vows also. All the excitment starts when you get to your room and see all the invitations and flowers. You will enjoy it and it is someting you will remember. Just a hint, they give you vows, but we wanted to do our own in our own words, so we just told the captain when we were there and he thought it was great. We had everyone crying including a tear from the captain! Something we will always cherish.
