Change of Itinerary :(

Just had a letter today saying the second week 26/6/11 to 3/7/11 of our cruise next year has been changed.
If we wanted we could change before 28 Oct 2011 but if we stay they will give us £50 each on board spend.

Think yourself lucky they let you know. We had planned in great detail our day in La Spezia and did a lot of research so we could DIY. Got onboard to be told we weren't going there, nice of them to let us know before we left.:rolleyes:

That's quite a big change-- how frustrating!
Did you "do" Olbia and Propriano this year? They are not places I would rush back to!
Naples is always good though, plenty of options!
Is the original itinerary being done on a different date?

Hi, We had the same letter, didn't bother us that much, as our friends who only came on the 2nd week last year did not go to some of these ports.

Took the £50 and will spend it wisely, Not.

I know what you mean about Propriano... a 2 minute port we have been to Olbia...but I dont think we got off that day for some reason?

We are going to take the money and eat :D in the Oasis every night :p

We went on an excursion from Olbia- think it was called "The Emerald Coast". Scenery was pretty but the very upmarket resorts were rather fake and characterless.
What I found more fascinating were the hundreds of different- coloured fishing traps (lobster pots?) in the harbour and all the little colourful fishing boats collecting the catch. Never did find out exactly what the catch was.

Had an idle few moments at work this morning..and me being the cynical person I am :D

Looked at the Itinerary we should have been on and what they are now doing..difference between the cruises c1000 miles, thats a lot of fuel savings they have made..looks like cut backs all round :p so the £50 each they are giving us is just a drop in the Ocean ...sorry Med ;)
