I understand SS will stock an in-room bar and refrigerator. Do you place your requests on the guest information form or wait until you are on board? Just curious. We don't need anything out of the ordinary.

No. Just wait until you have found your suite and your butler will ,as if by magic, appear at your door!
I think they have mirrors and can see all passengers heading for their suites!
Just let him/her know what you wish in your mini bar and by the time you return later in the day your request will be fulfilled.
When the drinks need replenished just let him know or leave a note.
You will have a bottle of champagne suitably chilled awaiting you when you visit your suite at the start of the cruise.

Bon voyage
Bill

Thanks. I like the way you phrase that--"as if by magic, appear at your door".

Can anyone share what brands are offered as standard for the bar? Especially interested in the Champagne, Vodka and Scotch varieties. I understand the wines vary by cruise so I guess we'll have to check into that when we get in our stateroom. Thanks

Hi MCCooch:
You will be pleased with the standard offerings. On our Whisper cruise a few years ago we specified JW Black scotch, Bailey's and Tanqueray gin. I believe Ketel One was available for the vodka, among others. It's only when you go to "super premium" brands that there would be a charge. Your butler will have a list when they are meeting you in your suite. We board the Cloud January 7 and are looking forward to relaxing on the verandah with a beverage!

Thanks MortgageMaster. We do enjoy Grey Goose and Ketel One a well as JW Scotch so we should be fine :). We are looking forward to our first SS cruise and I really enjoy reading the experiences of fellow CC'rs.
